我 是新加入的这个缝纫世界！所以我想透过这缝纫机认识更多缝纫知识及学习如何缝纫。本机确实比预期中好很多。我打算缝纫户外标旗，需要一个锯齿形线迹，但我 发现但我完成标旗的时候，我再加入多种不同的装饰缝线迹，对比鲜明的色彩跟周围的边缘相对。缝纫过程容易及有趣，多种线迹图案令我的标旗跟别的不一样！

锯齿形线迹真的很酷，你可以很容易地改变线迹大小和宽度，只需按一个按钮，你便可以看到你的新设置于LED屏幕上!这样子很容易重复你喜欢的线迹。缝纫机甚至可以告诉你已选择的任何线迹应配合哪一种压脚。我快速阅读说明手册，缝纫如知道自己在做什么，即使这是我的第一个标旗，确实令我留下印象深刻！

After reviewing many home sewing machine reviews and articles, I finally chose the Brother CS600i without doubt. Some of the reviews suggested difficulties with the automatic needle threader and/ or the bobbin tension settings. It is true that you have to look very carefully at the final thread retaining bail just above the needle to see which side to hook the thread on, but I finally got it figured out. The automatic needle threader is a bit tricky, but when I saw that the thread must be pulled up rather than down to catch onto the tiny hook, bingo!
The machine has the ability to automatically set the recommended stitch length and width dimensions and to tell you what foot to put on it. So far the bobbin and thread tensions have not been a problem.
All-in-all I have a lot of enjoyment just trying out all of the stitches described in the very complete instruction manual.

Great machine – Definitely Recommend It,February 1, 2013

I’m loving this tailor machine. I was a little intimidated by all the features and cannot believe how easy this is to use. I am also pleasantly surprised how smooth it runs once I get started. The only thing I could ask for would be a better light but it is only a minor detail when compared to all the wonderful stitches and options of width and length of same. Threading the needle is so much easier. Arrows and directions right on the machine make it much easier to thread, and create bobbins. It is lightweight making it so easy to carry around with with ease without much thought. Although it is light, it seems the parts are still well made and the important ones are metal.

Impressive Machine CS6000i,January 31, 2013

I am new to the world of sewing, so I wanted a machine that took most of the guess work out of the process of learning how to sew. This unit does more than I expected. I plan on making decorative two sided appliqué outdoor flags. I needed a zig-zag stitch, but I find that after I have the flag done, I’m adding fancy decorative stitches, in contrasting colors, around the edges. This easy, and fun to do detail really sets off my flags from other ones I’ve seen.

The zig-zag stitch is really cool which you can easily change the size and width of the stitch with just a push of a button, and you can see what your new settings are in the LED screen. It is very easy to repeat stitches you like. It can even show you which presser foot to use for any kinds of stitches you select. I gave the manual a quick read, and I was sewing it almost like I knew what I was doing. Even my first flag came out pretty impressive.

The machine is so easy to thread. Even the bobbin couldn’t be easier. You just have to fill it, and drop it in. The top thread is just as easy. I love the self threading feature.

I had some presser foot questions, so I called Brother. They were very helpful. They do not only answered my questions, but also gave me some helpful advice to make my learning process even more enjoyable.

Bottom line is that if a beginner can sew with this machine, anyone can start a new hobby with impressive results. I’m sure this machine is even more impressive if you know what you are doing. I’m very happy with my purchase, and the results of my new hobby. You cannot beat the price for everything this machine can do.

I bought this machine to replace the old one I had been using on and off for almost 20 years. I chose it mainly based on the user reviews, the performance ratings, and the fact that the cost was more than reasonable and affordable. I was not disappointed in the least. This machine is just awesome! It is very easy to use and user does not need to read excessively long sewing machine manuals. It basically does everything for you. The stitching is beautiful in design. I love the speed control dial, and the many different fancy stitches you can choose from. The LCD screen tells you exactly what foot you need to use for each stitch, and automatically sets the stitch length and width for you. I sew, a lot. I learned on an old Singer treadle machine (never made into electric, mind you) as a child. I had another brother machine but managed to lose it between moving from one side of the country to the other. So I purchased this one to replace it.
I read the bad reviews and can’t say that I have had the same problems with bottom thread tension more than once. The only time I had this issue it was because the bobbin was wound too loosely and it clogged things up. That’s operator error, not the machine.
To date I have done numerous curtains, denim hems, pillows, and repairs without problems. It’s a good machine, it’s simple to use, and excellent for a beginner or intermediate seamstress.

Great inexpensive machine for all basic functions, June 2, 2012

When my previous sewing machine broke after only a few months, I didn’t want to spend too much to replace it. This machine has exceeded my expectations for both usability and mechanical functions. Unlike the last new machine I purchased, there are no problems with tension, even when using the stretch stitch. The drop-in bobbin was easy to understand and use even without the instruction manual, and within minutes of opening the box, the machine was set up and stitching away. There are a few quirks – for example, in order to use the one-step buttonhole function, you have to also change the stitch to zigzag using a separate knob, which is unlike any machine I have ever used before. There are also not many decorative stitches, though the double-needle is nice for hems. Overall, this is a great machine if you’re looking for something inexpensive, sturdy, and user-friendly.

I have been using this machine on a regular basis since October and haven’t had any problems. I like the simple design and mechanical dial (instead of electronic).
Every other month I use an air-duster to clean out the dust particles that collect in the base. The duster I use is meant for cleaning camera lenses and it works great. Frequent cleaning is an essential step if you use the machine a lot and want to extend the lifetime of the machine!

Good machine but threading is hard, March 27, 2012

I got this sewing machine as a Christmas gift for my wife. She is a complete beginner and wanted to make some pillows and things. She likes it and has used it 4 or 5 sessions and says the thing she doesn’t like about it is that following the poorly written directions that came with it didn’t make threading easy. I actually brought up a video online that thankfully had a similar machine that showed how to thread it. Other than that it has done everything she wants it to do.
